Selden Paterson is an artist and designer based in Chicago. Her works traffic in the weighty materials of roadside shrines and grottoes, trying to bring the frenetic and divine quest of those environments into the ordinariness of the domestic object.

Selden received a BFA in sculpture and new media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited at galleries including 4Culture (Seattle, WA), University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg, VA), High Concept Laboratories (Chicago, IL) and Hairpin Lofts (Chicago, IL). Her works are currently available at Buddy in the Chicago Cultural Center and the Gallery Shop at Lubeznik Center for the Arts.
